Chivalrous Bartender in Hawaiian Shirt Saves Women From Creepy Guy

The post about Max, the Hawaiian shirt wearing guy, went viral. Since Trinity Allie posted the photo and comment on Twitter, there have been more than 46,000 retweets and more than 220,000 likes.

One person who responded to Trinity’s post said, “We need more men like him protecting us.”

One Twitter user posted, “Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear a Hawaiian shirt.”

The bartender, Max, posted a response when asked why he approached the women and the creepy guy in the way he did. He said, “It’s something you just pick up from mentor bartenders. Eventually you become pretty good at reading people, body language, etc.”

According to Max, “This guy was giving off very weird vibes for quite a while.” The bartender explained that he kept an eye on the creepy guy and did not take action right away because he wanted to give him a chance to back off himself. He also wanted to give the women some time to defend themselves.

However, according to the bartender, the creepy guy “didn’t take no for an answer and kept pestering them.”

According to Max, he doesn’t like yelling at customers or embarrassing them, but sometimes the creepy guy needs that kind of approach to take the situation seriously. He explained, “Calling them out in front of people is usually enough to get them to turn tail and walk away. I just don’t need my guests feeling uncomfortable.”

In a post by Max a couple days later, the creepy guy returned to the bar for a beer and the bartender said, “told him I wouldn’t serve him.”
