Joe is originally from Pennsylvania, where his family has completely disowned him. He spent some time on the streets in Manhattan Beach, Ca. Somebody was kind enough to buy him a JetBlue ticket to NYC because he wanted a change of scenery. He sleeps on a nearby bench at night near the church. Here we found him on the sidewalk on 6th ave @ 57th st. He told us he spends the days not knowing when he will be able to eat again, and asked for something to eat, a hotel room, and a life. The sign he held said, ‘Give money to a dead corpse.’ “
