“Hey guys, we’re stuck on this elevator,” she began in one of her posts. “I need, um, I could use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool. I could use someone. We are 11 minutes into our elevator sit,” she quipped, referencing the popular Marvel characters. “It’s toasty… I think I heard on an episode of The Office or Brooklyn Nine-Nine, or something, that you’re supposed to sit, so we’re sitting… We’re about an hour, we’re beeping now.”

As the minutes ticked by, Garner’s sense of humor remained intact. About 45 minutes into being stuck, she began singing “99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall,” providing comic relief to her fellow passengers and her social media audience.

Finally, after an hour and 12 minutes, help arrived. Firefighters cracked open the elevator doors, prompting cheers from Garner and her team. The actress expressed her gratitude to the rescue team and made her way to the screening, arriving just in time.

The incident added an unexpected twist to Garner’s first-ever Comic-Con experience, but her ability to handle the situation with humor and grace only endeared her further to fans. Garner’s cameo in the “Deadpool and Wolverine” screening was met with enthusiastic applause, but it was her elevator adventure that became one of the most talked-about stories of the event.
