Kristen Bell’s “Hands on the Circle” Mom Hack Is Total Parenting Gold

From her infectious on-air charisma to her down-to-earth transparency with real-life mama struggles and mental health issues, it’s hard not to marvel at the “Motherlover” that is Kristen Bell.

Though she may have the picture-perfect life on the big screen, this mother of two is not immune to the parenthood problems we all face. When it comes to traveling with her kiddos, Lincoln and Delta, Bell admits the struggle to keep tabs on them is REAL.

When you’re transporting adventurous little tykes, there’s nothing more important than finding a solid method of keeping track of them AND keeping them safe from their dare-devil selves.

Some parents, like Clint Edwards, use a leash to keep tabs on their “wild child” in public, but Bell prefers to resort to a little mom hack she learned from her ‘brilliant’ sister-in-law called “hands on the circle.”

In a viral Instagram post, the actress recently shared the simple procedure she uses to keep her children safe from oncoming traffic when they travel, and she hopes the little tip will help do the same for her fellow mommy followers:

“Hands on the circle!” The phrase we say as we jump out of the car. “Hands on the circle” (the circle is the gas cap) was invented by my brilliant sister in law, and has thus far kept all kiddos safe from any oncoming traffic while I unload the trunk. #momlife #momhacks #mom

Step 1). Say “hands on the circle.”

Step 2). Place actual hands on the circle.

Boom. Done.

Crisis AVERTED.

Doesn’t get any simpler than that, mamas!

And it turns out this isn’t the only parenting advice she’s shelling out these days.
