WATCH: Lauren Daigle Takes ‘The Ellen Show’ to Church With Worshipful Performance

Twenty-seven-year-old singer Lauren Daigle continues to make waves in the secular and Christian music scene alike. After recently placing third on the Billboard 200 chart ahead of huge names like Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and Drake, the artist has been on a winning hot streak like no other, all while spreading the Gospel in the name of Jesus Christ.

She even claimed the top spot on the Christian charts AND the best sales week for a Christian album in nearly nine years with her release of “Look Up, Child.”

But the two-time Grammy nominee’s latest of many breakthroughs has been her debut on “The Ellen Show”.

Though some Christians have criticized the artist for appearing on a show with a gay host, others have seen this as an opportunity to spread the Gospel to a largely secular audience.

And that’s EXACTLY what Daigle did with her hit song “Still Rolling Stones.”

In part, its lyrics read:

“Six feet under
I thought it was over
An answer to prayer
The voice of a Savior
Rise up (rise up)
Rise up (rise up)
All at once I came alive
This beating heart, these open eyes
The grave let go
The darkness should have known
(You’re still rolling rolling, you’re still rolling rolling oh)
You’re still rolling stones.”

Part of the 27-year-old’s appeal, whose voice has been compared to the likes of Adele, is her crossover into the mainstream audience, which she claims is intentional. Daigle sees it as essential to break down “religious” barriers in Hollywood in order to spread the Good News to all.

“This is huge for Christians everywhere!” one supporter wrote. “We are going into the world and preaching the Gospel! You are living testimony of what Jesus says to do and I am thrilled.”
