Chris Pratt is the latest victim of Cancel Culture this week after an internet challenge dubbed him the “worst Hollywood Chris.”
On Saturday night, TV writer Amy Berg took to Twitter with a “game” asking followers which Hollywood Chris “has to go?” The post featured a quadrant filled with photos of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pine, and Chris Pratt.
The post launched an onslaught of cruel attacks against Pratt for his faith values, church affiliations, and political stances—so much so, that his name started trending on Twitter, with over 55,000 tweets being generated.
The cutting remarks spanned from Pratt being an anti-LGBTQ Trump supporter to him “radiating a homophobic white Christian supremacist energy.”
Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt was quick to come to her hubby’s defense. Responding to an Instagram post by E! News that asked followers the same question, Schwarzenegger wrote, “Is this really what we need?”
“There’s so much going on in the world and people are struggling in so many ways,” she continued. “Being mean is so yesterday. There’s enough room to love all these guys. Love is what we all need not meanness and bullying. Let’s try that.”
Pratt’s Avengers: Endgame co-stars, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo also responded to the internet challenge with posts on their respective social media accounts.
“What a world… The “sinless” are casting stones at my brother, Chris Pratt…,” Downey Jr. wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself and Pratt on the set of Avengers: Endgame. “A real Christian who lives by principle, has never demonstrated anything but positivity and gratitude… AND he just married into a family that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value.”
“If you take issue with Chris,,, I’ve got a novel idea,” he continued. “Delete your social media accounts, sit with your OWN defects of character, work on THEM, then celebrate your humanness… @prattprattpratt I #gotyerbackbackback.”
Mark Ruffalo also tweeted in response to the attacks, saying Pratt is “as solid a man there is.”
“I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life,” Ruffalo continued. “He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.”
You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.

While Pratt has always been vocal about being a Christian, to Ruffalo’s point, he’s never been overtly political.
“I don’t feel represented by either side. I really feel there’s common ground out there that’s missed because we focus on the things that separate us, ” Pratt said in a 2017 interview with Men’s Fitness.
