As flu season fast approaches, it’s easy to think of the reasons why we need to keep ourselves protected. With last year being the deadliest flu season in years, we’ve all learned that this virus can do so much more damage than an upset stomach and a stuffy nose. It’s certainly time to get those flu shots for our own protection.
But what about looking out for the care of others, particularly infants, who could easily face death if they come into contact with your seemingly mild illness?
“It’s easy to think oh, it’s just a cough, no worries, but just a cough to us could be a hospital stay for her,” Tennesse mom Steph Moser wrote in a Facebook post that spread like wildfire since being shared by Love What Matters.
Moser was speaking of her friend’s daughter, Lottie, who has been fighting for her own precious life.
Lottie is her “why” — the reason she doesn’t go out anywhere while sick, even if it’s just to run a simple errand, because it’s not worth risking the life of another.
