There’s hardly a miracle as mesmerizing as that of a newborn child. It’s hard to believe that after nine months in the womb, we are capable of bringing such amazing mini-me’s into our lives.
Most infants come into the world kicking and screaming, crying out with a desire to be held by their mama. But one newborn baby girl in Brazil is breaking the mold with her bold attempt at walking STRAIGHT out of the womb. As workers in the Brazilian maternity hospital tried to give her a bath, this lil’ fighter had different ideas.
In the viral video below, the baby is depicted wriggling her way away from the midwife to to take her first steps.
In Portugese, the stunned woman exclaims, “Oh my gosh, the girl is walking. Good gracious!”
“Merciful father. I was trying to wash her here and she keeps getting up to walk,” the nurse adds.
“Wow, she is so cute it’s amazing,” says another worker in the background. “If she’s like this now, I can just imagine how precocious she is going to be as she grows up.”
To which the midwife responds:
“Heavens above. If you told people what has just happened, no one would believe it unless they saw it with their own eyes.”
Well, now people HAVE seen the little walking miracle with their own eyes. Millions, in fact.
Since it was posted on Facebook last week, the awe-inspiring video has amassed over 95 million views and nearly two million shares.
Some assert that the baby is simply exhibiting a “primitive” or “step” reflex that’s no big deal, while others are beyond mesmerized by her strong-willed attempt to stroll across the table.
