“No, We Are Not a Same-Sex Couple, But We Do Share a Daughter”

“He is not an outsider, he is and will always be a part of my life for the simple fact that we share the same daughter!” writes the proud bonus dad.

He credits his soon-to-be-wife and her big heart for making such a great relationship between them possible:

“Of course, not a single moment would be like this without Sarah (mommy) and her kind and generous heart!”

According to Sarah, open communication is the key to successful co-parenting, but she admits that it hasn’t always been easy.

“It wasn’t easy at first; we had to work at it. I had to personally put my feelings aside and make Willow a priority with everything,” she told PopSugar. “As adults, it’s our responsibility to be the parent and put our kids first — and not let our feelings affect our children.”

Though their family dynamic is certainly unique, she says they couldn’t be happier with how it’s played out.

And most importantly it’s made little Willow Grace one of the luckiest daughters on the planet to have three parents who love her so completely.

“Willow Grace, you are loved by so many people in this world and your Daddies love you!” Dylan wrote, adding a shoutout that his best friend is still on the market: “FYI David is single.”
