Mother and Sister Rescued After Note Slipped to Teacher Reveals Child’s Body Found in a Freezer

Body Found in a Freezer Because of a Note

Although Toseland would take the mother with him in the car at times, she would be handcuffed and unable to get away. However, during one trip in the car, she was able to find some sticky notes and a pen, which she secretively used to write and hide several notes, nine of which she was able to pass to her daughter who gave them to her teacher at school.

At this point, it had been 10 weeks since the mother had seen her 4-year-old son; so she was desperate. The last time she had seen him, he had become very ill and he had severe bruises on his body. She told police that when she asked Toseland to see her son, he said “she would not be allowed to see his body because he would lose his freedom.”

So she risked getting a message out with the help of her daughter. Thankfully it was a success and the two are now in safety and Toseland is in jail awaiting trial. Sadly, Mason didn’t make it out alive, as the body found in a freezer in their garage was his.

Previous to this arrest, in 2019, Toseland had pleaded no contest to misdemeanor domestic battery charges, and additional charges according to court records who he has charges as early as 2005 for disorderly conduct.

Social media is a buzz with this story about a child’s body found in a freezer, and while many are upset with the mother for getting into that situation, others are just thankful the mother and daughter are free.

One Facebook user said, “Oh Vinnie this is definitely a horrible story. My heart aches of this beautiful child, his mother, and Riley. What they went through I can’t even imagine. So sad. Hope this sad excuse of a man never sees the light of day”
