NFL Star Odell Beckham Jr. Is Baptized in Jordan River: “God I Can’t Thank You Enough”

Wide receiver for the New York Giants, Odell Beckham Jr., has recently made a profession of faith in God amidst allegations that he illegally attempted to pay a woman $1,000 for sex.

Beckham has since denied the allegations; however, that hasn’t hindered him from pronouncing himself “forgiven” during his recent baptism in Jerusalem. He was baptized in the Jordan River during his tour of the Holy Land.

“Fresh Start… What a time! #Jerusalem #ImForgiven”, the NFL star wrote on Instagram earlier this week.

Some have called it “odd timing” for Beckham to declare himself forgiven during a time when he could be facing a major lawsuit, while others are thrilled that the wide receiver has professed his trust and faith in God.

“I couldn’t of [sic] asked for anything more!!!!” he wrote in another post. “God I can’t thank u enough for this one. My journey is just beginning…”

He went on to quote Psalm 23:4 last night: “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,” followed by “God bless.”

While Beckham is one of the NFL’s biggest stars, he hasn’t been able to play since a severe injury last season.

In spite of any shortcomings, please join us in praying that the Truth is continually brought to light for Beckham and that he may experience God’s healing and unwavering love during this time.
