"I looked back to the bed. Still empty. And then it happened. I fell to my knees, and then to my back. It came from up from my gut. I could almost physically feel it moving to the top of my abdomen, to my chest, into my neck and then my head. I cannot describe the pain."

Pregnant Mom’s Instagram “Bumpdates” Show the Sleep-Deprived Hilarity of Motherhood

Maya Vorderstrasse had less than a Pinterest-perfect pregnancy with her second child. She learned just two months after giving birth to her first daughter, Zoey, that she was pregnant again.

While some mothers find pregnancy “blissful,” Maya was chasing around her crawl-walking baby and just trying to stay awake under complete and utter exhaustion.

“Some days were so rough,” she writes on Facebook. “I was achy, sore, exhausted, emotional.”

Maya often uses humor to overcome her daily struggles through life. So she decided to take her symptoms and turn them into laughable board message “Bumpdates,” about how even the difficult things are worth it.

“I decided to laugh my way out of the symptoms and was so thrilled to be cooking our missing puzzle piece!”

Her hope was that in sharing the message boards, other people would be able to relate, and also realize it was normal to have “very crappy days,” she says.

Maya’s second daughter, Hazel Marcela, was born on August 3.

The funny mama of “Irish twins” says she’s positive her daughters will find humor in the goofy things like she does.

“I can’t wait to see my girls ganging up on me, that will make for a funny letter board!”

For now, this Brazilian beauty and her husband have their hands full with two babies under one, and almost 50k followers on Instagram, where she documents the hilarity that is raising two kids just 11 months apart.
