Sisters’ Hilarious Video Confession to Late Mom Has the Internet Rolling

Sisters Sara Wollner and Katie Wiggins are finding new ways to grieve after losing their mom Karen to pancreatic cancer in 2022.

The New York sisters took to TikTok with a video message to their late mom, recounting what has taken place in the year since she left them.

The result? A minute and 34 seconds of pure joy that will have you cry-laughing right along with these sisters.

“So our mom died a little over a year ago,” Sara starts the video, “and these are some of the things that we’d like to confess to her that have happened since she died.”

Both sisters set the tone immediately by holding back laughs at the end of Sara’s introduction.

“Okay, number one, we didn’t know that we had to file your taxes…” Sara says, letting out a contagious laugh.

Katie chimes in, “Nope,” before taking a turn to confess.  Both girls are wheezing in laughter before she can even spit out the confession, “I didn’t know that I needed to get my own (car) insurance,” she cry-laughs. “I drove an uninsured car for 7 months and then suspended your license plates — and mine. So I couldn’t drive either car.”

Sara added, “We know you had the same license plate for years, so R.I.P. to ‘AZK’ or whatever the numbers were.”

“And to you, mom,” Katie quipped.

Through tearful laughter, Sara confessed that she was forced to miss their older sister Megan’s baby shower due to a stomach virus, leaving Katie to throw the whole thing herself.

“I had to do it alone!” Katie laughed.

“Megan was a good sport though,” said Sara. “Sorry about that.”

Katie revealed, “I tried to do a charity walk for cancer and I couldn’t finish it. And I think I broke my foot.”

Sara explained why she didn’t cry at her mom’s funeral: “It’s because I was so pregnant that if I cried, I would have thrown up.”

“Lots more to come,” Katie closed the video. “We’ll continue to disappoint you as time goes on.”

The video, which racked up nearly 26 million views on TikTok alone, has become a healing balm for others who find themselves in the same season of grief. Several who took the opportunity to share their own confessions to their mothers.

“My mom died in April. Thank you, I needed this laugh (Note to self: file her taxes next year),” wrote one user.

Another shared, “This is the BEST healing. My sister and I tried to spread mom’s ashes in a blizzard. We ended up wearing her!”

“Confession: My mom died a year ago (and) I couldn’t cry at her funeral because I accidentally took my brother’s anxiety pills instead of my thyroid pills,” someone revealed, seeing Sara in her struggle.

Others simply found it comforting, as you couldn’t help but laugh your face off right along with them.

“I lost my mom over a year and a half ago and I’ve been very depressed BUT seeing this video and your perspective is so refreshing and heartwarming.”
