“I Tried So Hard Not to Tear Up”: Student’s Emotional Letter to Teacher Goes Viral

When it comes to raising up the next generation of world changers, one of the greatest influences in any child’s life is that of a great teacher.

Those who mold young minds spend more time with our kids than anyone else. So when your child lands a teacher who is both great at their job, and an exceptional human being, you can consider yourself lucky, because your kiddo has hit the jackpot.

At least, that’s how one student felt after having Mr. J as a teacher this year.

The educator shared a photo on Twitter this week saying, “So I walked in the classroom and found this letter on the desk that one of my kids wrote me and…I tried so hard not to tear up.”

The letter read:

“To Mr. J,

Thank you for being a awesome teacher and for being amazing! This school year was so fun and I enjoyed it because of you. I wish more teachers was like you. I will never forget you. I look at you like my dad. I never met my real dad but it ok because you treat me like I’m your son. You make me so happy. Always feeding me when I am hungry and hug me when I am sad. I will never forget you Mr. J. I love you and I will never forget about you.

Love Markus”

Mr. J says it’s the love and support of his family that shaped him into the man he is today. It’s clear that he wants to give every child the same.

His post has since gone viral, as parents and teachers alike praise him for being such a loving and caring role model.
