Child Disproves Professor Who Says God is Evil

Have you ever had someone tell you God is evil because if He created the world, then He created evil? Watch this video to see a professor disproven by a child on this point:

The child, depicted as Albert Einstein, makes some important points about science, when considering if God is evil, that the professor really cannot deny. The first point the child makes to the professor is that while we feel cold and it seems like it exists, cold actually does not exist. Cold is simply the absence of heat, according to laws of physics. The child’s second point to the professor has to do with darkness. He explains that darkness seems like it exists because of our sense of sight, but darkness is simply the absence of light. Like these principles of cold and darkness, the child says evil does not exist. Evil is only the absence of God’s love in so many words. This child shows the idea that God is evil is absurd, given that God is love.

What Does the Bible Say to the Professor about Darkness and Light?

Interestingly, the Bible itself equates darkness to evil. Here are some verses on the subject:

  • The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5
  • While I am in the world, I am the light of the world. John 9:5
  • Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light. Micah 7:8
  • Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
  • Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
  • For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
  • For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. John 3:20
  • The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.  Matthew 4:16
  • You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. Psalm 18:28
  • This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:5-9

God is Evil vs. God is Love

The Bible also has much to say about how “God is Evil” is so far from the truth. It shows that professor how God dislikes evil and He is love.
