3-Yr-Old is Devastated When Dad Says She Can’t Celebrate Halloween—Then He Passes a Note to Everyone on the Plane

Missing out on trick-or-treating may seem like a mild dilemma to most of us, but for a 3-year-old, that’s right up there with canceling Christmas and mourning the loss of a pet goldfish. Serious stuff.

That’s why one father was just heartbroken to see the devastated look on his daughter Molly’s face when he told her she wasn’t going to be able to participate in the Halloween festivities last year.

Due to a conflicting flight, Molly wouldn’t be home to trick-or-treat, but this innovative daddy had a pretty spectacular “Plan B” up his sleeve that left every passenger on the plane swooning over his chivalry for his baby girl.

He started by passing this note to everyone on the plane.

It read:

“My 3-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight…so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her bucket. You’ll be making her Halloween! If you’re unwilling, no worries, just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much!”

I mean, honestly—how do you say “no” to that precious request?!

Thankfully, the crew of touched passengers willingly participated in the trick-or-treating in the sky as Molly’s dad led her down the aisle to receive her pieces of candy.

Smiling ear-to-ear, the little tot dressed up as a donut had NO idea that daddy was the mastermind behind it all…

One passenger was so moved by the father’s sweet gesture that she posted a picture of the note and adorable toddler to Twitter along with a caption that read, “My heart is exploding right now. Dad of the year just passed out candy to everyone on the flight so his 3 year old could trick or treat.”

This is one Halloween little miss Molly is sure to NEVER forget—not only was the trick-or-treating brought to her, but she also got to do it 30,000 feet above the rest!

As for #DadOfTheYear…this papa’s got that one in the BAG.
