Ellen’s About to Knock the Socks OFF This Dude Who Stopped a 76-Year-Old Woman From Being Robbed

On the way to his workout at the gym one afternoon, Kendrick Taylor stopped by his local Orlando Winn-Dixie. With his headphones on, the Navy vet headed into the grocery store, but he felt like something just wasn’t right.

“My spirit just sensed something uneasy,” Kendrick explains.

As he turned around, a 76-year-old woman was being attacked by a young man who was trying to steal her purse.

Upon hearing the woman’s screams, Kendrick jumped right into defense mode. Without even thinking, he chased down the thief and tackled him until the police arrived on scene.

The incident happened in the middle of the day, so the grocery store security cameras were able to capture the footage.

God was looking out for that elderly woman when He stirred something in Kendrick’s spirit that day. The Navy vet was loved-on by the woman, who called him a hero, and he even received the Medal of Merit from the Orlando County Sheriff’s Office for his humanitarian contribution to the community.

Of course, is a hero really a hero unless Ellen DeGeneres interviews them on her show?

Kendrick sat in one of Ellen’s white leather chairs and recounted what happened on that day. Little does Kendrick know, there’s someone very important to him waiting backstage, and Ellen has gifts up the wazoo for this true hometown hero.
