On a tour to promote his latest album, Man Against the Machine, the singer performed the song live for the first time ever on Good Morning America. He describes it as the only song he’s ever written that could rival “The Dance,” and when you hear it, you’ll know why.
“It should have been written 50 years ago,” Brooks told host Robin Roberts. “It’s a conversation between God and this unborn child about ready to go down to earth. And when God describes what a mom is…whew, it kills me.”
