Bride Tells Groom Her & Her Sister Are a “Package Deal”—Then He Stuns Wedding Guests With This Speech

Back in July, Faithit brought you the story of newly-engaged couple Ashley and Will.

How He Asked

Ashley’s sister Hannah has Down syndrome, and the two girls are what Ashley describes as a “package deal.”

“Not only are we sisters but we are best friends,” Ashley wrote on The Knot’s How He Asked. “We’ve done everything together. I told Will that Hannah and I were a package deal. You had to accept her, love her, and include her in everything because she and I would [be] attached at the hip forever.”

When it came time for Will to pop the question, he knew that Hannah had to be included in his proposal. But rather than letting her in on his grand surprise, he instead turned the surprise into something both Ashley and Hannah would never forget.

Before dropping to one knee and proposing to Ashley, Will got down on one knee and first proposed to Hannah. Giving her a ring for her left hand, he asked her to be his “Best Friend Forever.”

How He Asked

“She was so excited,” Ashley said. “I looked at Will and said, ‘I’m probably next, right?’”

The time recently came for Ashley and Will to finally tie the knot, and it seems only fitting that Will prepared not one set of vows, but two.

Will promised to always take Hannah fishing and tell her “plenty of funny jokes.” But most importantly, he promised to always look after her and care for her as a big brother.

As for sharing her big day with Hannah, Ashley says, “It doesn’t even cross my mind to think that I’d want it by myself.”
