We’ve heard story after story about people who are seeking Allah but instead find Jesus. That’s what happened to Ali. This Muslim man met Jesus in a dream and his description of Him will fill you with awe and wonder!
In the early church, the Christians experienced their newfound faith in some pretty amazing ways! Acts 2:43 says that “everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.” And, unfortunately, we don’t hear about wonders and signs as much today.
But wonders and signs and miracles ARE happening!
And when they happen, we’re filled with awe! Watch to see the amazing things that Jesus did for this Muslim man — right in the center of Mecca!

Ali was in Mecca for his pilgrimage of Hajj. Part of the ritual is to walk seven times around the Kaaba, a building at the center of the Al-Masjid Al-Haram mosque in Mecca. Then at night, everyone sleeps together around the Kaaba.
Ali was seeking Allah but finding Jesus on this night. As Ali slept, he remembers…
“In the night I had this dream. And in a dream, Jesus came. First He touched my forehead with His hand and He said, ‘You have been saved. You have been saved.’ Then he opened His hand and placed it on my chest. And He said, ‘You belong to Me…you belong to Me.’ And He was smiling!”
How personal and amazing is Jesus!
Remember the prophecy in Joel 2:28: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”
People, this kind of thing is happening today!
Ali goes on to describe what Jesus looked like and the image will give you goosebumps!
“This is what he looks like: From His waist up, He was naked and shining pure white. He had a beard like in the pictures but a little bit longer. His hair and His beard…it was as if every hair was electrified light shining from every hair. That’s how handsome He was. And when He smiled, His teeth were shining white. And I was amazed at the way He stood there. And the lower part of Him was like a cloud of melted iron. And in that cloud, He was taken up.”
Ali awoke his friend and asked if he had heard the voice of Jesus. His friend asked, “What business does Jesus have in Muhammad’s capital?”
Of course, we know what business Jesus was up to! And Jesus kept talking to Ali through the night. The next day, Ali knew that Jesus was telling him not to continue on the pilgrimage. So Ali collected all his stuff and prepared to go home.
Ali took a shower before going home and had an amazing discovery. Although he had no white hair yet, the area of his chest that Jesus had touched was all white!
“There was this white everywhere and so I tried to wipe it off and when I wiped it, it didn’t come off. I wiped it with water and soap and it still didn’t go away. And this voice said to me, ‘I’m going to show you even more things than this.’
And then since I knew it was Jesus right there in the bathroom, I got down on my knees. Because the only thing I knew to worship was to go down on my knees. So I got on my knees and I said, ‘Yes, Jesus, whatever you say, I’m gonna do it.’”
Yes, Jesus!
It’s been years since Ali’s encounter with Jesus in this dream. And while Ali’s hair is starting to gray, the chest hair is still white where Jesus touched him in his dream.
