Early College High School valedictorian Alem Hadzic has gone viral after he took the stage at his graduation ceremony to deliver his speech—just hours after his father's funeral.
As the class of 2024 graduates and the school year comes to a close, there’s a new trend happening on social media that has all of us sentimentals feeling unwell over how fast time flies.
"A recent story emerged in the media about Chick-fil-A stopping donations to anti-LGBTQ Christian charities, and like the good, obedient children we are, we slurped up what the angry masses were serving. How dare Chick-fil-A back down from their Godly principles for the sake of money?!"
When management at the University Blvd Chick-fil-A in Odessa caught wind of the news that a gunman was on a rampage in their city, they offered their employees the option to close early and go home. Instead, the compassionate workers did the opposite, working way past their shifts to help feed the local law enforcement who'd been caught up in the tragic shooting spree.
“We don’t sell pornography in the bookstore and we don’t have a Hooters on campus—we already pre-select those kind of things based on our existing values.”
"Every time a New York liberal attacks @ChickfilA, the drive-thru line triples! But no worry, @ChickfilA professionals have outstanding customer service and they keep the line moving," remarked one Chick-fil-A fan. "Delicious food, excellent service. Also, try the lemonade."
San Antonio International Airport is the latest in the string of several businesses to ban Chick-fil-A from its premises based on the assumption that the Atlanta-based chain has a "legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior."
"I'm a very committed Christian and Chick-fil-A's value--their corporate purpose statement is to glorify God and to be faithful stewards of all that's entrusted to them and to have a positive influence on everyone who comes into contact with them--and I would say that that mirrors my personal beliefs perfectly. And so I really felt it very personally."
