Morris had nothing but praise for Thompson’s kindness, skill, and his work process with Alexis.
“When we got there my daughter was nervous, but Scotty was incredible,” she said. “He walked her through everything he was going to do step-by-step and he even asked her many times if she was sure that’s what she wanted.”
The end result was a beautiful and functional workmanship on Alexis’ hands that will help make her daily life, as well as the driver’s ed process, so much easier. After all was said and done, Thompson posted about Alexis’ tattoos on his Facebook page, and it quickly went viral. That, he says, is not why he did a good deed for mother and daughter, though. He says it was, quite simply, the right thing to do.
“It made me think that my purpose on earth is a lot bigger than just tattooing and making money. I want to help people heal.”
I don’t know about you, but this kind of generosity and willingness to meet a need for a family kind of restores my faith in humanity! Best of luck to Thompson with his success in business and to Alexis as she learns to drive and pays this good deed forward.
