Taylor Winston is an American hero.
The Iraq war veteran has served our country faithfully, and sacrificed his own life for others in his service, both overseas and here at home.
As Faithit previously reported, Taylor was one of the thousands in attendance at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival on Sunday, October 1, when Stephen Paddock opened fire from his 32nd floor hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
As chaos broke out, an incredibly brave Taylor jumped to action doing what he does best—putting others’ safety before his own.
The 29-year-old stole a truck from a nearby lot, and used it to transport more than two dozen critically wounded victims to the hospital.
When Taylor returned the keys to the truck’s owner the following evening, he explained just how crucial his vehicle was in helping so many people.
“It was still quite scary, but we just knew they (the victims) had to get to the hospital immediately,” Taylor told Anderson Cooper last week. “No ambulances were immediately available. There was far too many casualties for anyone to handle.”
Taylor’s selflessness has not gone unnoticed.
Blown away by his heroism, a car dealership in Gilbert, Arizona, decided to reward him in a big way.
B5 Motors used social media blasts to find Taylor Winston, in hopes of gifting him with a FREE truck. Within seven hours, the dealership announced they had connected with him.
“Most of us would have ran and never came back,” said Shane Beus, owner of B5 Motors. “His military training allowed him to think in a split second what to do.”
The dealership selected a customized a Ford F-150, but gave Taylor the opportunity to choose between the truck and two other vehicles in the $20,000 price range.
We are honored to present Vegas hero, Taylor Winston, with his B5 Motors truck.
