A Hospice Nurse Talks About the ‘Rally’ and Other Unexplained Phenomena Right Before Death

Death is a topic rarely at the top of people’s list of conversation topics. But, a hospice nurse has created a series of TikTok videos to help educate family members and loved ones about the death process. With more than a million followers and hundreds of created videos, Julie has normalized the topic of death. She shares helpful information about what to expect — including some unexplained phenomena.

The ‘rally’ is one of the unexplained phenomena at the end of life

As @hospicenursejulie mentions in this video, a person near death can take a brief turn for the better right before dying. Unfortunately, this phenomenon can be quite difficult for loved ones. As it appears the patient is getting better (talking, eating, even walking), the person often dies later that day or within a few days.
