Chris Pratt Announces Separation From Wife Anna Faris: “We Tried Hard for a Long Time”

When it comes to Hollywood marriages, it doesn’t matter how much a couple is #RelationshipGoals, no one is immune to the effects of fame, fortune and the fact that marriage is just plain hard.

This weekend we learned that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have announced a formal separation.

The couple, who have been married for eight years and have a son named Jack, shared in a message to Facebook late Sunday night that they are “legally separating.”

“We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.”

The announcement comes as a shock, as Faithit has previously reported stories of the Hollywood couple’s devout love for one another through trials as well as Pratt’s open and shameless faith.

His powerful coming-to-Jesus testimony is enough to make anyone believe that God has a plan for your life—even when you can’t see it. Chris has time and time again made bold, public professions of faith that completely defy the pressures of upholding a neutral Hollywood image. And his constant efforts to serve charities, people and the communities he’s in are admirable to say the least.

For the sake of their son, the couple has asked to keep their separation as private as possible moving forward as not to make it any harder on Jack than it already will be.

“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

We know that what God intends for good, no man can separate. Our prayers are with the family as they navigate this decision.
