Mom Straps Baby in Carseat & Tosses Her Out Second-Story Window Just Seconds Before Taking Her Final Breaths. A True Hero.

0

It’s incredible what becoming a mother does to your intuition. Your awareness is heightened, your connection to another human being is something that can’t be described, and above all else, you’ll do anything to keep your child safe.

That couldn’t be more true for a Wyoming, Illinois, mother whose quick thinking and love for her daughter saved her 12-day-old baby’s life this week. Those in her community as well as across the country are calling 21-year-old mother Shelby Ann Carter a hero.

Shelby Ann

On January 30, firefighters received a call about a house fire. By the time first responders got to the home, which Shelby shared with her mother, the 21-year-old was deceased in a second-story bedroom. She died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

They were surprised to find her baby wasn’t with her.

The infant, Keana Davis, was found on top of a pile of debris, safely strapped into her carseat. She had been dropped from a second story window that Shelby broke to save her daughter’s life.

Even in the most life-threatening circumstances, and with an incredibly limited amount of time, Shelby had the presence of mind to quickly strap her into the carseat.

Other than a minor burn, the infant was completely unharmed. Responders took her to the hospital in good condition, and released her shortly after.

Shelby Ann

Chief of the Wyoming-Speer Fire Protection District Ed Foglesonger said:

“It’s just incredible that she was able to pull her thoughts together to save her baby… I’d say it’s nothing short of a miracle the way it ended up.”

Friends and family of the young mom are mourning the loss of their loved one, whose greatest joy was motherhood.

Shelby Ann

Her aunt Kathy Carter said, “Shelby was so proud of this beautiful baby girl.”

The community came alongside the Carter family and their “Beautiful Miracle” by raising over $43,000 to support them following the tragic fire.

Our prayers are with Shelby’s family as they mourn the loss of this warrior mama bear whose final act proved just how great her love was for her baby girl.

“Not a Cluster of Cells”: Mom Shares Raw Photos of Stillborn Delivered at 14 Weeks

0

After losing her son, Japeth Peace, Felicia Cash shared a heart-wrenching post on Facebook, with the hopes of bringing to light just how complete, real, formed and alive a baby is at only 14 weeks gestation.

Felicia was three-and-a-half months pregnant with her precious baby boy when she miscarried. Through the heartbreak and devastation, the mother of five was amazed by how developed her son was at just 14 weeks and six days old. He was just as much of a human being then as anyone else.

“He is perfectly and wonderfully formed, right down to his amazing tiny toes and fingers. Even his fingernails are formed and visible. Tiny veins that carried his own blood to his precious body can be seen through his delicate skin, even his wonderfully formed muscles are visible. At less than half gestation he is very obviously human, not a cluster of cells, not a lump of tissue, not a blob of unformed flesh. He is a beautiful child, formed by God, and now gone to be with Him.”

As if opening up about the loss of her son gone too soon wasn’t painful enough, Felicia posted photos of her stillborn son to show his complete and perfect humanness.

Facebook

“His tiny heart was beating within 16 days of conception, pumping his own blood. That is usually before anyone knows that they are pregnant. There seems to be a misconception that unless you can hear or see it, it isn’t happening, but that tiny heart is beating, even if it is too small to hear or see.”

Felicia and her husband desperately tried to get pregnant for 13 years, before making the courageous decision to foster children.

They took in three sisters, and adopted the girls just two years later.

Within hours of finalizing their adoption and officially welcoming their daughters into their forever home, the Cash family learned they would soon grow by one more.

“[T]he morning after we signed their adoption papers in court, we found out that we were expecting. Eight months later, our oldest son was born. A few years after that, we were blessed with another.”

Felicia never imagined years before that she’d have a family like this, much less biological children who she was able to carry, grow and birth herself.

In the spring of 2017, Felicia became pregnant a third time. This time, with TWINS!

But “complications” that began at six weeks were just the beginning of heartache for these parents. When Felicia started bleeding, she and her husband went to the hospital in fear of miscarriage.

The Crown Tattoo Meaning: Why Women Across America are Branded With a Crown

0

Tattoos: people get them for all sorts of reasons, and their popularity spans people of all ages. But the one thing tattoos have in common is they symbolize meaning for the person with the tattoo. This is why many are wondering about the crown tattoo meaning —that symbol that varies in shape, size, and detail, and which usually appears on a woman’s shoulder. It’s often accompanied by a name or initials; so could this crown be a symbol that tells whose queen she is? In other words, the “queen” of her castle as wife and mother? The Bible talks of a royal priesthood for those who believe in Jesus. Could that be the story behind the crown tattoo? After all, some call tattoos the greatest storytellers of our generation. They show the love someone has for another, or serve as a memorial for a lost one. Tattoos can serve as a reminder of the individual’s identity or showcase a creative personality. Whatever the story, it’s usually about the love of someone or something. So what does that crown mean?

The Real Crown Tattoo Meaning:

For thousands of women across the United States, their tattoos do not tell the story of someone or something they love. Take Jennifer Kempton, for example. The victim and survivor of sex trafficking never chose the ink she wears for herself, but rather it was forced onto her skin as a way to mark her as property of a pimp. That crown symbolizes human trafficking branding.

Survivor’s Ink

Those crowns aren’t just any tattoo. Most of the women who are trafficked and forced into prostitution at a young age are branded with a tattoo of a crown on the shoulder, which is often accompanied by the name of their pimp. Unfortunately, that’s the real crown tattoo meaning. It’s a common human trafficking tattoo to be aware of.

Survivor’s Ink

Jennifer spent more than five years as a sex slave after an abusive childhood led to her being raped at 12 years old. Not long after, she was forced into prostitution by a pimp, where she was sexually and physically abused, became addicted to drugs, and was sold on street corners in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

In April of 2013, after enduring the most violent rape of her life, Jennifer decided she was going to end it all by hanging herself.

In what was supposed to be her final moments, the rope broke and she found a reason to live.

“God came to me and spoke to me and he said I have a purpose for you and it’s not to die in the basement of a crack house,” Jennifer said.

She later escaped, and has been on a long road to recovery ever since. In addition to daily withdrawals and the usual hardships that every recovering addict has to endure, Jennifer was constantly reminded of the men who “owned” her because their names were permanently etched on her body in that human trafficking branding.

After saving up enough money, she was able to get a new tattoo that would cover one of her four unwanted tattoos.

“It was so liberating to take his name off of my body and have what I want there.”

It was the pivotal moment that began Survivor’s Ink, and organization that helps sex trafficking victims to gain scholarships to pay for them to cover up their human trafficking tattoos.

When Jennifer was able to cover up her tattoo, she had experienced an incredible sense of freedom having replaced the name of her pimp with a tattoo that would help her heal.

“It started when I got the one on my neck covered up and the next morning when I looked at myself in the mirror and I wasn’t reminded that I worked for gangs and I was a part of that kind of life, to have this beautiful flower opening and blooming, it was just, gave me a whole new breath of life.”

This is what inspired her to help other sex trafficking victims; she wanted to provide other survivors with the same opportunity.

“It very much so is a psychological form of bondage.”

crown tattoo meaningSurvivor’s Ink

Survivor’s Ink helps women who are recovering from sexual slavery to cover up their visible scars and branding tattoos with one of their choice.

“It ties you to those memories and it ties you to those feelings that you felt when you got that and to be able to be free of enslavement and then to make an active choice of, ”This is what I want on my body, not this man’s name or this gang’s symbol, I want my daughter’s name, I want a beautiful flower, I want a religious scripture, I want a butterfly to show that I have wings, and I can fly.’”

The organization raises money to provide survivors with the resources they need to psychologically move forward, and cover the trauma that is engraved in their skin. It’s also symbolic of a new life—one of freedom, and choice. It allows that old crown tattoo meaning to be erased and new meaning to begin.

For Jennifer, this journey has brought a new level of healing to her own life, as she funds the freedom of other sex trafficking victims branded by human trafficking tattoos and intentional scarring:

“It’s not even necessarily just the debranding process. It’s reaching out to these other women. It’s hearing their stories. It’s sharing my story, so even when I haven’t been able to fight for myself, I can fight for them. So in fighting for them, I am fighting for myself.”

What is simply a tattoo for some is total transformation for these women. With a few pigments and a needle, Survivor’s Ink has infused hope back into the defeated, replaced pain with purpose and exchanged slavery brands for beauty marks.

But most importantly, they’ve painted portraits of freedom on those who were once slaves. Watch this video for more information on how the crown tattoo meaning is being covered with new meaning with the help of Survivors Ink.

“He will give a crown of beauty for ashes.” (Isaiah 61:3)

The Day I Overheard My Husband Talking to His Friends About My Stretch Marks

It’s no secret that becoming a mother isn’t exactly the most glamorous job in the world. Pregnancy and labor itself is a reminder that our bodies have a mind of their own.

For many women, postpartum motivation is hard to find. Our bodies are no longer our own, and the remnants of what once housed a child underneath our hearts is now a reminder of the lies that Satan wants us to believe: We are ugly, we are not good enough, we will never look or feel the same again.

Fitness-guru Sharny Kieser is no different. She recently shared on her Facebook page a confession about the body she had always dreamed of, and the beauty she was able to find in the body she had.

“I used to not see the point in exercise because my body was covered in stretch marks,” she writes. “‘What’s the point in having a great body if I will never wear a bikini?’ I’d think. If I was ever invited to the beach or a pool party, I’d always decline. On the odd occasion I couldn’t avoid it, I’d stay inside, helping with the food or the cleaning.”

The 36-year-old mother of six said she’d wear board shorts and T-shirts, only wishing that she could one day have a body that was worthy of a bikini.

Sharny & Julius

“Then one day I overheard my loving husband explaining to a bunch of his friends why he thought stretch marks were beautiful. They were a sign of being a woman. They are a result of the great love a mother has, that she would scar her own body to bring a child to life.”

Sharny & Julius

Sharny says the more her husband talked about the beauty of her scars, the more she finally understood what she’d been getting wrong all along.

“I had hated myself for the very reasons he loved me. My body wasn’t ruined or disgusting, it had transformed from a selfish girl’s body into a selfless mother’s body, and the scars were a symbol of that transition.

A daily reminder that I was a mother.”

She says that was the first time she looked at her scars with a welcome heart.

“I looked at my stretch marks and I felt pride. I felt love. The love of my husband and the love of my children. Each one of them had been nurtured and lived behind those scars for nine months.

I felt pride.

I felt love.

I felt love for myself.”

Sharny & Julius

Sharny says that self-love she began to experience led to gratefulness for the body she has now. As a result, she began to treat herself better—body and mind.

“I WANTED to eat healthy. I WANTED to exercise, I WANTED to do the things I loved. Just by changing the way I looked at myself with love and pride instead of hate, I had found the effortless motivation to care for my body.”

She explains the shift in her mindset to be magical.

“I got the body I had always dreamed of. The bikini body that I thought was not ever going to be possible for me after being covered in stretch marks, has became a reality for me. It started, though, with me loving myself first. Being grateful for what I had, not wishing for something better.”

Sharny & Julius

Sharny closes her post with an encouragement to ALL women:

“Stretch marks or no stretch marks, IVF of no IVF, vaginal or C section. Breastfeed or bottle feed, it doesn’t (sic) matter. Even if you chose not to have kids or couldn’t have kids…

You’re perfect.

Your kids love you.

You should love you.

Stop beating yourself up and start loving yourself. For the magic that is a woman’s body is what you have.”

May this lift you up today, and be a reminder to all women to love yourself first. Share Sharny’s words with a woman you love today, and remember that you were made completely and positively perfect in the image of God.

Jesus & Homosexuality: A Love Bigger Than Marriage

1

I had a lengthy discussion with Dr. Christopher Yuan about his experience as a same-sex attracted Christian and his new book,Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story.” Make sure to read parts one and two first, as this picks up right where we left off! Here in part three, Dr. Yuan expounds on a biblical view of marriage. To hear the whole interview when it goes live, subscribe to my podcast here!

Ethan: That reminds me of Rob Bell’s old book “Sex God” because one thing he says is that some of the most sexual people he knows are single. His understanding of sexuality is not simply what a husband and wife do on their wedding night, but that in essence, sexuality is giving yourself to other people. He said something about how single people can give themselves to their friends and their family and their church. They’re giving themselves — not in an intercourse sort of way — but in a relational way. You don’t want to stray too far from the linguistic roots of the word, but he was making the point that to be connected to other people, you don’t have to be married.

Dr. Yuan: I would say that we have confined or limited love to sexuality — and I guess I’m defining sexuality more narrowly, to just sexual or romantic desires — but as I said in my book, marriage does not have a monopoly on love. So then what you’re saying is totally right. There’s a reality that we all have a need to love and be loved, and to be intimate with others, but this doesn’t have to necessarily be romantic or sexual. I think that’s important for singles to wrap their head around, that we can give ourselves to others in friendship, and most importantly in the context of the local church.

Exactly. Again, I wonder how much of that is a response to the larger culture Christians live in. Sadly, we’ve seen the Church go along with that idea of marriage being the source of satisfaction. I don’t know if you ever heard this, but we used to call our school [Moody Bible Institute] ‘Moody Bridal Institute,’ because you go there and get hitched. One of my roommates was fresh out of high school and between his freshmen and sophomore years at Moody, he got married. And a couple [of] months later, they were pregnant. He was 19, about to be a dad, and now I’m a 27-year-old virgin so… [Laughs].

We joke about it, but I can’t help but wonder if that’s a reflection of us seeing this thing — sex — painted as the climax of nearly every film, right? The happy ending is when they settle down together, or when they make up and their relationship is restored. Even the thesis of the movie “The Notebook”in the opening monologue, he says as an old man, “I have done the highest thing a human being can do: I have loved another with my whole heart, for my whole life.” If you think about it, that’s sort of the manifesto of our culture. Christians, without proper thought and education, will hear something like that and it’s appealing, attractive and tangible so we’re going to latch onto that and say, ‘well I want that!’ Therefore, for Christians, since we try not to sleep around, our shortcut to happiness is to get married when we’re 20 and pursue happiness that way.

Yes, and to chase that ‘deepest form of love.’ In 2015, when the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage, a lot of people were writing different kinds of responses. I saw two types: One that was celebrating marriage equality, and the other that was grieving this decision and defending the sanctity of traditional marriage. I felt like something was really missing, so with my friend Rosaria Butterfield, I wrote a piece that was published in The Gospel Coalition. We called it “Something Greater than Marriage.”

There was a mistake people kept making. Supreme Court Justice Kennedy, in his majority opinion, wrote, “Marriage is the highest ideal of love.” And that’s exactly what the world thinks! That this is the pinnacle of love, and this is the highest we can achieve. But I want to argue and say that yes, marriage is an expression, or a form, of love, but it is not the only one, nor should we ever consider it to be the greatest. Honestly, as Christians, the greatest form of love is God’s love for us. And hopefully, our love for God should supersede our love for our wife or husband. And [the] same thing for our spouse — if I ever get married, I want to marry a woman who does not love me more than she loves God. That’s essential. If that’s not there, I probably won’t get married!

9 Things Christians Believe That Are Nowhere in the Bible

1

One of the greatest gifts that God gave mankind was the Holy Bible because the Bible is literally God revealing Himself, and communicating Himself to mankind in written word. Anything and everything that we know about God comes from these Holy Scriptures, and they contain the totality of what we need to know about becoming a Christian, and everything that we need to know about living the Christian life. But sometime Christians believe things that are nowhere in the Bible.

Orthodox Christianity teaches that the Bible was inspired and authored by the Holy Spirit of God using human instruments. It also believes that in its original languages of Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic; it is without error and fault.

However, there are many things that Jesus-following, church-going, Bible-believing Christians believe that are completely unbiblical. How does this happen? Often, we’ll hear someone quote a statement that sounds nice to us, and we’ll begin repeating it as though it’s biblical truth without ever researching it in the Scriptures. Several of these unbiblical statements have gained enough traction that many people believe they’re actually Bible verses. Not only are the statements unbiblical; most of them teach the opposite of what the Bible teaches.

Here is a list of nine popular unbiblical statements that Bible-loving Christians believe sometimes:

1. God helps those who help themselves.

This statement is actually anti-Gospel. Self-reliance and self-righteousness, or the attitude of trying harder and doing better, actually gets in the way of the work of God. Jesus saves those who die to themselves: “Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).

2. God wants me to be happy.

It’s a common belief that God exists to be our “personal genie,” waiting to give us our every wish. It’s amazing how we will justify our sinful actions by saying, “God just wants me to be happy.” Happiness is tied to feelings and emotions that are often based on circumstances, and those change all the time. God wants us to be obedient to Him, trust Him and know that everything He does is for our good, even if it doesn’t make me feel “happy” in that moment. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

3. We’re all God’s children.

Although God has created everyone … not everyone relationally belongs to Him. Only those who have repented of sin, placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and possess the Holy Spirit of God inside of them can claim Him as their Father: “But you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:15b–16).

However, those who don’t have Jesus as their Savior, nor have the Holy Spirit of God inside of them, actually belong to Satan: “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:1 – 2). “By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother” (1 John 3:10).

4. Cleanliness is next to godliness.

The people around you may appreciate you staying clean, but this is not Scripture. Parents may use this unbiblical statement to motivate their kids to clean their rooms. However, I’d suggest using an actual biblical statement: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).

5. God won’t give you more than you can handle.

Actually, all of life is more than we can handle. The point of living in a fallen world is not for us to try really hard to carry our heavy burden, but rather give-up, quit and surrender to God, that’s what faith is all about. Everything is more than I can handle, but not more than Jesus can handle: “For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself” (2 Corinthians 1:8). “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

6. We all worship the same God.

Yes, Christians believe there is only one true and living God: “Know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other” (Deuteronomy 4:39). However, He only accepts worship that comes through Jesus Christ, not Muhammad, Buddha, Joseph Smith, etc: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

7. Bad things happen to good people.

Often Christians believe that we place ourselves in the judgment seat of what is good and bad, or who is good and bad. The most popular way to make that judgment is by comparison. For example, Bob is a good guy, because he is not as bad as Sam. However, according to the Bible, we’re all on equal ground because none of us is inherently good: “As it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one’” (Romans 3:10).

8. When you die, God gains another angel.

Plain and simple. Humans are humans, and angels are angels. This remains so even in eternity. In fact, angels are intrigued by the interaction between God and His “image-bearing” humans: “It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look” (1 Peter 1:12).

9. We’re all going to the same place when we die.

There are two possible destinations when we pass: Heaven and Hell. However, only those who are in Christ will be with Him for all eternity when they physically die: “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’” (John 14:6).

The fact that many of us Christians believe these unbiblical statements shows our unfortunate overall biblical illiteracy. Instead of swallowing popular statements hook-line-and-sinker, may we be like the Bereans in the Book of Acts. When they heard Paul preach, they wanted to research the Scriptures themselves to authenticate what he was saying: “The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so” (Acts 17:10 – 11).

What are some more unbiblical statements that you’ve heard Christians commonly use?

88-Year-Old Tells Intruding Rapist One Simple Lie to Save Her Life

0

Helen Reynolds is a force to be reckoned with.

CBS Philadelphia YouTube

The 88-year-old from Chester County, Pennsylvania, had returned home from the store around 3 p.m. one day in February when she heard a knock at the door. Not thinking twice about who would be stopping by in the middle of the day, Helen answered it, only to be violently pushed aside by a young man who intended to rob and assault her, according to a report by CBS Philadelphia.

It was the beginning of what would be a three-hour invasion of Helen’s home and belongings. The intruder was in search of cash—rummaging through Helen’s things, he only came up with $40.

The elderly woman, who’s got a spit-fire spirit, tried to reason with the young man:

“I said, ‘Would you do this to your mother? Or would you like somebody else to bother her like you are doing me?’”

The young man only responded by telling her to “shush.” He then pulled out a roll of duct tape, which he used to bind Helen’s hands, head and mouth.

He then told Helen that robbery wasn’t the only thing he had in mind.

The intruder stripped the 88-year-old of her clothing, and threw her face-first on the bed.

She continued fighting with resilience, kicking the man in the groin and gnawing at the duct tape on her mouth.

“Maybe I really hurt him. I don’t know and I really don’t care.”

When the man pressed on, Helen relied on her words to ward him off. She quickly came up with a lie about her late husband, telling the intruder that he died of HIV:

“That’s when I told him that I had HIV and my husband died of it, which is a lie.”

And those words were just the ticket to scare her intruder back to where we came from. The man tied her ankles together with a piece of wire he had, and fled her house.

Helen freed herself by chewing through the duct tape, then running to a neighbor for help.

Though her quick-thinking saved her from becoming a victim, Helen knows that her words had little to do with it:

“It was all about me and my God and he helped me out.”

This brave grandma hopes that her story is a warning for all women her age, and a reminder to “never stop fighting.”

Helen’s here to remind us that young or old, big or small, there’s a warrior spirit inside of us all.

Show Your Faith with These 23 Inspiring Christian Tattoo Ideas for Women

According to a tattoo survey, roughly 46 percent of responding residents in the United States have tattoos, ranking the USA third in the world. Previously, tattoos have been viewed as controversial and socially unacceptable. The Christian tattoo certainly wasn’t a thing, thus the absence of Christian tattoo ideas online until recently. In the early 20th century, tattoos were given to those who did not fit into the social “norm” — sailors, those in the circus, and prisoners. However, after the World Wars, many people, including women, documented their support for the United States through tattoos.

While the support for tattoos fluctuated, they have become more normalized since the late 1990s. Currently, tattoos are more common than ever. Statistically, adults that have at least one tattoo actually end up going back and getting more. In a world where masculinity is praised, women have been on the rise to receive more tattoos than men.

What remains today is that tattoos tell a story, whether it is who we want to be, an event that happened in the past that shaped us, favorite Bible verse, Christian sayings, religious quote, or a symbol of something meaningful. There are a lot of things to think about and keep in mind when considering a Christian tattoo. One important step is to think of some potential designs that are meaningful. There are many Biblical tattoo ideas out there. Here are 23 potential Christian tattoo ideas that are God-honoring to get started.

Bride Wants to Do “Sexy” Photoshoot for Groom—The Hysterical Results Are Total Marriage Goals

0

When it comes to surprising the love of your life on your wedding day, there’s a lot of pressure to set the bar pretty high. It’s pretty typical to exchange a letter before the ceremony and pour your heart out in a way you never have before.

Lately there’s been an ever-growing trend of grooms surprising their brides with puppies…(as if marriage alone wasn’t enough of an added responsibility) and a long-standing tradition for some women is to give their guy a little something to remind him what to look forward to after the celebrations.

Nicole Stein did just that.

She enlisted the help of photographer friends Josh and Kissy, to capture a boudoir shoot for her soon-to-be hubs. Leaving nothing to the imagination, the photographers shared Nicole’s session on Facebook, and it quickly went viral for ALL the right reasons:

“When your friend comes to you and says, ‘I want to make a book to give to my fiancé before we walk down the isle [sic]. I want to do some boudoir shots…. dressed up as a dinosaur!’ You say, ‘WHEN AND WHERE?!’”

Facebook

As photographers do, Josh and Kissy have been holding onto Nicole’s photos for months, waiting for her fiancé to be the first to see them before sharing their work online.

“I’ve been sitting on this magic for months and I’m so excited I can finally share these with you all. Nicole and I were laughing until we had tears streaming down our face.”

Facebook

“I never knew how hard it would be to pose a seven foot dinosaur and make it look sexy but Nicole totally nailed it. It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever shot, mostly because she couldn’t move around, there was lots of flailing and laughing. She was pretty much doing the worm inside the suit trying to move around on the bed.”

Facebook

“I had to stop shooting at points because I was crying from laughter and mascara was getting in my eyes.”

Facebook

The lady behind the lens says she has no doubt Nicole and Chris will live happily ever after—because how could you not have a lifetime full of laughter, kicking off with a gesture like this?!

“You know a marriage is going to last forever when you start out laughing.”

Marriage can be tough at times, but Nicole’s sexy photo shoot is the reminder we ALL needed today to never take life too seriously.

C.J. and Lexi Cesario are what you might call, #Goals. The couple, who got married in July 2016, have completely won the Internet with their incredible love story—told by their wedding video.

In September of 2013, C.J. made the most important decision he could ever make, and he gave his life to Jesus Christ.

“Along the journey we all go through of wanting and hoping for the right one, God transformed my heart,” C.J. says in his vows to Lexi.

Taking new steps on his faith journey, that fall, God blessed him with exactly WHO he’d been waiting for—a radiant, blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl—Lexi.

“As scripture tells us, it’s really not about waiting for the right one, it’s about being the right one.”

C.J.’s realization of what love is, and his foundation of Jesus’ love for each of us, is paramount to the love that he and Lexi Elisha share.

“One truth I’ve come to know is that experiencing love and understanding love are two different entities.”

His reaction to Lexi Elisha (at 4:43), is something that you could literally watch all day long. You can see the joy of the Lord in the both of them, overflowing from the inside out.

C.J.’s testimony and reaction to Lexi Elisha on their wedding day was only the start of what makes this marriage and video completely stunning. After exchanging the most beautiful vows, and slipping rings onto their fingers, the bride and groom were surrounded by their loved ones in an intimate and glorious time of worship and prayer.

The world is full of beautiful people and beautiful love stories, but the greatest ones are those that start with God. We don’t know what would have happened had C.J. not given his life to Christ that day, but we do know that the Lord is alive in both of these beautiful souls. Their marriage is a reflection of His unconditional and unbelievable love.
