I am an assistant principal in a middle school (grades 6-8). When I have to search a student's cell phone, I often get sick to my stomach at what I find. It gets worse and worse every year.
"My parents were in there with us. My mom held me as I screamed my head off, crying my eyes out, and hyperventilating. Kenny was behind me and my dad was behind him holding him. We were all a complete wreck. I will never forget what I saw in that room that day."
"These words are the most vulnerable I’ve ever penned; I’m going where I’ve never gone before. I share with you from a place of loss and heartache, unlike anything I’ve ever experienced."
"I don’t want you to think I am crazy. I just HAD to take this in for a moment. I even called my wife.’ Puzzled, I asked him, ‘What’s wrong?’ When he had turned over the cards, he saw the names of my babies... I looked at him with complete shock and utter disbelief."
"That blue stain was just a big fat negative in my life. I hated it. The next month, we got devastating news about my sweet son, the one who splattered it all over our carpet."
