Thami Ngubeni is Thankful to God After Hijacked and Kidnapped

Thami Ngubeni is making the news, but this time it’s not for being a news anchor and Metro FM radio presenter.

The South African producer, actress, and speaker was hijacked and kidnapped earlier this month, and while the incident was terrifying, she is thanking God for saving her life in the midst of it all.

The broadcaster took to Twitter after the incident sharing what happened and giving thanks to God.

“On Monday I was hijacked and kidnapped. They took everything material but they did not take my life,” Thami Ngubeni Tweeted. “I give God the glory. Faithful God. The God who fights my battles. My God who saved me from the jaws of the lion. Hallelujah.”

Apparently, this isn’t the first time this month a media personality in South Africa has been pursued with ill-intentions. A day prior to Thami’s tweet, Pamela Mtanga posted about a Ford ranger following her and her assistant. There was a high-speed chase.

Thankfully, Mtanga and her assistant eventually reached safety when they lost the thieves.

As with Thami’s story, so many reached out glad they were safe.

And many in Thami’s audience thanked God along with Thami Ngubeni, such as Thandekile Jessica MaMdletshe who said, “We thank God for his Grace and Mercy on your life Sis Thami. Thank you for having the courage to share your testimony this morning.”

After Twitter user, Michael@22 heard how Thami Ngubeni was hijacked and kidnapped, he was moved.

He tweeted, “I was listening to your testimony. It was so emotional. We glad that they did not take your life. We thanks God for his protection over. We serve the powerful Almighty God who hears our prayers.”

Here is his message to Thami Ngubeni:

While so many were thankful to God with Thami, others questioned how she could be thankful, given she’d been hijacked and kidnapped.
