JBJ Soul Foundation

Jon Bon Jovi is known for more than just his iconic music. He’s an intentional humanitarian. He and his wife, Dorothea, founded the JBJ Soul Foundation in 2006 to “break the cycle of hunger, poverty and homelessness.” They began in partnership with the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Team, but JBJ Soul Foundation soon worked to have a national impact.

The organization is “rebuilding pride in one’s self and one’s community—one soul at a time.” JBJ Soul Foundation has helped provide nearly “1,000 units of affordable and supportive housing in 12 states for thousands of people including youth and veterans.”

The nonprofit also runs three JBJ Soul Kitchens, giving warm nutritious meals, throughout the state of New Jersey.
