I don’t mean it has to “look” the same, but what I do mean is that I hope you get to feel the way I do being married to your dad.

There is so much relationship advice out there and I’m just one voice among millions, but if I could tell you one thing, dear girl, it’s this.

“I screamed ‘MY SISTER DIED!’ and I chucked a cup of water across the room. A wave of relief washed over me as I thought now that my sister is gone, there was no way God would take my husband too.”

He had no idea she was listening just around the corner...

The other night I headed out to a little get-together quickly after dinner, leaving behind a table and sink full of dirty dishes. I hate leaving a dirty kitchen but of course we were running behind in a major way, as in I was putting on my mascara with one hand while attempting to get Annie in her pumpkin romper with the other.

"I wasn’t moving. I fought back tears and picked up my phone to dial my mom. Surely, she would know what to do."

"That guy, you know the one, you might even already be married to him...if not, wait for him. He's out there. I promise you."

Even if he has the potential to be your husband, your boyfriend does not get husband privileges. Period.
